For those of u who are mystery book fans, i just

finished reading the new Marthas vineyard mystery " A

Matt, I'm glad the mystery lump is improving. There is a saying in medicine, "When you hear hoofbeats in the night, think horses, not zebras." But when our lives are full of zebras, Tasmanian devils & snail darters. . .I mean, we are walking zebras! All the doctors tried to tell us we were just horses, but we are zebras. So when something weird pops up, like a mystery lump, it's natural to fear the worst. I recently had an abscess on my chest. Started like a small boil & within a day was red, hard, painful & enlarging rapidly. I started an antiobiotic after moist warm packs didn't help, but I wish I would have thought to try salt pork! I forget who wrote that message, but I used to know that. If there is a next time, I'm going to try that first thing; maybe I'll be able to avoid antibiotics. Rose

I am sorry the enbral isnt going to work out for you. That is a shame. Well, best to find out right away I guess.

Does it ever end?

Matt -

I will be anxious to hear how things go with your meeting and hoping that they work out. I bet it is interesting to be on the other side of things after your experiences, gives you a unique perspective I imagine. I am glad your headaches have calmed down, too bad they havent went away all together for you. Hopefully this will come soon, now that you are on the new meds.

Take care, keep us posted,

Kim- my meeting went real well-I was told that they

need to verify my diagnosis with my doc and that it

would take about three days after that for me to get

on the program. The social worker I met with said

trhat she would call my doctor tnstead of waiting for

a report from him so that i could be accepted into the

program by as early as friday or the begining of next

week. The state will cover my medical bills untill i

get on SSDI which is the best part of it. Matt

My headaches have gone down and the lump under my arm is alot smaller. (Hip-Hip-Hooray!!!...Yahoo!...Yippee!!!) i have my meeting with the state welfare people next tuesday to find out if i get on the state version of SSDI. (How did you do?!?!? ... do all states have this? ... does this supplement the federal SSDI once awarded? ...or does it stop once you win your federal SSDI? ... I wonder if NJ has anything like this?...I guess my SS attorney would have told me so???)Joan, thanks for the nice compliment. (You are quite welcome!)
