Hunter Cindy:

I don't have anything new but am writing to tell you sorry. Maybe you could go

2x to tanning and have you increased the fluids to get the kidneys to help

flush? Don't know what else to suggest.

I do remember Andi saying she tried hot and cold. Cotton clothes and sheets.

Laundry soap and softeners check those. Aveno bath soak and soap. And one that

has worked for hives for me and sometimes for Bob's PSC itch Benedryl, it comes

in cream and spray. The spray makes a coating on the skin and doesn't easily

scratch off.

Good Luck

Cindy,

I’m pretty sure

they give extra points for the kind of itching you’re having. Please ask them. Ken was

told to “try” activated charcoal. Silly guy went out and brought a bottle

of the powder. Couldn’t get

it down, he was supposed to try the capsules! I have no idea how much they cost. Also not sure what the charcoal will

look like as it leaves the body. I’m

so sorry, must be sheer hell to itch like that.

Oh

yeah, I remember one lady who swears by shortening. She just rubs it on and stays away from any good

furniture or clothes.

Barb, thanks. I called the transplant coordinator and

pleaded with her to see if I could get extra points.

She did not seem enthusiastic about it.

I will call her and ask about the charcoal.

Ok, that one makes me laugh. I think I told the

doctor one time that if someone told me rubbing poop

all over myself stops the itch, that I would try it.

So, tonight when I grease up and Mike asks, I am going

to say Barb in Texas suggested this....I am sure he

will get a laugh out of it.

I always had success with claritin. Sometimes I have to take a double

dose which makes me sleepy. I also put ice directly on my itchy spots.

That doesn't work so well when your whole body itches unless you're

willing to take an ice bath. Hang in there.

Guest Trying to help

I have neuropathy. Nerve damage also fibromyalgia. Both feel like insects crawling under skin and itch. Blue emu cream helps along with lyrica and zyrtec.
