Guest guest
Tracie do you find your spiritual healing helpful still? I know for me pray is big, I find I feel better if I keep my prayer life full, or even for some, meditation, which is allot like being in prayer, as opposed to saying prayers, does that make sense? Marla, My acceptance of my illness is very much a Spiritual healing. I'm not saying that we can't find ourself totally healed someday. That possibilty is still open. I've come to realize thru both personal experience as well as being so gifted by the graciousness of some very, very dear friends that walked a similar path --that even though the cancers they had, the late effects of childhood Hodgkins- where one lady's entire body had ended up scarred and fibrosed by the high dose radiation she recieved in the 1960's (she was one of the first in the entire world to get radiation treatment)--that even though her organs were burnt up and useless, she lived every day with such Love and faced her own death with such integrity (yep, she went thru all the stages of grief also)--but what came home to me was that even in her last days- she was calm and accepting and realized that death was only the body and that eternity would be what follows. She is the one that introduced me to Reiki. I still use it on myself, and recently have connected with another healer and have been able to trade her Reiki for massages. If you aren't aware of what Reiki is-- check out this site. http://www.dpierce.com/reiki/index.htm Pat is my Reiki Master, and her ability to channel energy is incredible. I have never seen a more "pure" energy. It truly is wonderful. Does it help? Truly, I believe my ability to help people find their healing, be it physical, spiritual or emotional or mental-- is because of this gift. It is not ME or MY Energy--it is true Spiritual Energy. If you read up about this-- you'll see that it goes back to 7th Century Tibetan Munks who needed to answer the question of how Jesus healed by "Laying on of Hands." It is so easy for those around us to question whether we have "lost" our faith if we relapse, or if we continue to use multiple modalities to stay as healthy (on all levels) as possible. This was huge for me, as several people that I loved, and wanted in my life-- felt that if I searched out Western Medicine, instead of strictly Faith--that I was telling Faith that I didn't really believe in Him. It took me along time to realize that all of Western and Eastern and Indian faiths and traditions were all Gifts--and should work together to compliment each other. I think our Native American Indians understood this better than most of us do even today-- but I'm working on it! Blessings, Tracie
Guest guest
Tracie, I have a question for you - what do you feel about annointing and laying on of hands. My Yogi is also a lay minister at his church and my Pastor has offered the same. I have always felt that God gave us doctors and medicine because our lives are so advanced and different from biblical times, but I also believe in the mind-body connection and things like that. Just curious. Thanks. I have always felt that God gave us doctors and medicine because our lives are so advanced and different from biblical times, but I also believe in the mind-body connection and things like that. I think that we need to do what is comfortable for us as individuals. Our mind, body and souls are all interconnected--so it only makes sense to me to "cover" all the bases. Would any of these hurt-- I don't believe so. I think what hurts is the judgement that others put upon us when they don't see "physical" healing. But then, chronic illness many times doesn't come with "physical" evidence-- at least not in the form of a cast or bandage. To heal our hearts and spirit-- that is what is most comforting for me. Guest guest
Tracie,I think that is another thing I have been worried about; what if I don't have enough faith for there to be some healing? I am not sure I understand the concept of levels of healing but you have given me a great deal to think and pray about. Thanks for all of your help.Terri G.>> In a message dated 1/20/06 8:48:25 AM Pacific Standard Time, > mosaicgirl1@y... writes:> > > > I have a question for you - what do you feel about annointing and laying on > > of hands.
