Guest guest
I was going to ask how one deals with neighbors who know " everything about cancer; i.e., chemo and so on, " then proceed to tell you that you need to " act happy and you will be happy, etc. " (This is especially tough when you think you are acting pretty normal, but in this Stepford Village, no one misses a drooping begonia.) Thanks, Joanne, No. 9 - Stupid People, pretty much covers it. (Egads, it took me at least five scrolls to remember the number...) I knew the gas stove was a bad idea; am using back burners only! Guest guest
Yeah, hearing " act happy and you will be happy " sucks, and my first thought is always that these people should try sitting for an hour in a hospital basement waiting to ingest expensive nuclear waste. The other part to the above adage is to " have a good outlook and you will stay well. " Right! All having a good outlook will do for cancer is to make us easier to be around, which is what healthy people want--no troublemakers. Sorry to be so cynical today. Really truly, the posts so far in this thread have been very funny and I've enjoyed them. Keep making up funny stuff and ignore this post, ha ha!!! ---Jan
