Stay inside with all doors locked and avoid them like the plague. We have a

neighbor like that, too. Anything you've done, he's done bigger, better, and

more of it.

Add to the list " high-rise apartments " without elevators. I'd have to set up

a tent on first floor. HA!

I was going to ask how one deals with neighbors who know " everything

about cancer; i.e., chemo and so on, " then proceed to tell you that

you need to " act happy and you will be happy, etc. " (This is

especially tough when you think you are acting pretty normal, but in

this Stepford Village, no one misses a drooping begonia.) Thanks,

Joanne,

No. 9 - Stupid People, pretty much covers it. (Egads, it took me at

least five scrolls to remember the number...) I knew the gas stove

was a bad idea; am using back burners only!

Irene-

I found that when confronted with the know it all when I'm hypo

another hypo symptom really helps - lack of concentration. Once you

tune the annoying little buggers out the eventually give up.

I would like to add to the list as #12. amusement parks

That wouldn't help either...the stairs are outside ones...that is something for

hypos to avoid also! Especially since it is so humid here!

Add to the list " high-rise apartments " without elevators. I'd have to set up

Avoid to talk, face to face, to the people of the bank who is going to decide to

give you or not a credit...... my very hypo pupils are just dancing all the

time, bigger-smaller, smaller-bigger LOL! Who knows what they could think about

me!

Last week I went to the optician, I told her I was hypo, and she told me that

she could see perfectly inside my eye because my pupils were very dilated.

Ana ( very, very, very HYPO........ on LID but not craving for pizza at

all............ just CRAVING for my T4 pill!!!)

PS: Don´t worry, I will start my own bussines in setember... just to wait a bit

more.

Even people who " know it all " when it comes to cancer & chemo seem fazed by

talk of " when I was radioactive " , " I had to be in radioactive isolation " , " I

was like a walking dirty bomb " , " we set off alarms in airports! " , and

suchlike. It's not the sort of treatment that makes the headlines & evening

news, so most people have never heard of it unless they actually know a

thycan.

Speaking of setting off airport alarms -- does this happen to prostate

cancer patients who have those implant things (seeds?)?

Even people who " know it all " when it comes to cancer & chemo seem fazed by

talk of " when I was radioactive " , " I had to be in radioactive isolation " , " I

was like a walking dirty bomb " , " we set off alarms in airports! " , and

suchlike. It's not the sort of treatment that makes the headlines & evening

news, so most people have never heard of it unless they actually know a

thycan.

Speaking of setting off airport alarms -- does this happen to prostate

cancer patients who have those implant things (seeds?)?

Yeah, hearing " act happy and you will be happy " sucks, and my first

thought is always that these people should try sitting for an hour in

a hospital basement waiting to ingest expensive nuclear waste.

The other part to the above adage is to " have a good outlook and you

will stay well. " Right! All having a good outlook will do for

cancer is to make us easier to be around, which is what healthy

people want--no troublemakers.

Sorry to be so cynical today. Really truly, the posts so far in this

thread have been very funny and I've enjoyed them. Keep making up

funny stuff and ignore this post, ha ha!!!
