Wow! Thanks everyone for all the responses! First of all

, I saw that article in the Tribune on Sunday, and all I want to do is

photocopy it and hand it out to every mother I know. I WISH i had seen

that article just 4 months ago, it could have prevented all of this! I

will seriously never again put a baby in a swing or bouncy seat for

more than a few minutes, I have learned my lesson!

So I went to CT in Glenview for an evaluation. They forwarded it on to

my pediatrician and when we went for my daugheters 4 mo. appointment

this morning she said we should do the helmet. I asked her about

Dr.Vicari and she said there's no need to see him since I want to go

with CT, mostly because I want to get the helmet on her before she is 5

months old and CT can get it on her within 2 weeks. When I got home

there was a message on the answering machine that Dr. Vicari's office

needed to cancel my appt so I took it as a sign from God that we should

just go with CT! Anyway her assymetry is mild/moderate, at 10 mm but

I'm hoping that since she is so young we won't have to have it on for

so long and we'll see some good results. I'm not 100% sure that im

making the right decision here but I do know that now at least I can

honestly say I did everything I could, and I hopefully wont have

regrets down the road! Oh and one more thing- Vicari's office uses the

starScanner, which is associated with Starband. It does eliminate the

need for casting, but the lady at CT Told me that people have been

unhappy with the StarScanner and that it isnt always so accurate. I

dont know if this is true or not, part of me feels like CT just wants

to sell their product. But I am going with them anyway mostly because

they are quicker and we all know that one month can make the world of

differrence!
