I have had issues with nauseau this past year with pancreatitis and

then with 2 attacks of cholangitis. I do get occasionally get nauseated

and am not sure why. Due to drug allergies I right now can only take

zofran, which I have to take prn. I am allergic to phenergan, but have

not had to go to anything stronger yet. and hope not to have to for a

long time.

I have too much in my life to do right now, so I am doing everything I

can to keep PSC under control. I start nursing school in January just

before my 51st birthday.

I suffer from nausea and I think it's due to PSC. I also have AIH. When I had Hepatitis A when I was 15 (I'm now 56) I was nauseated and I vomited about 14 times a day. So nausea & vomiting go with liver disease. Lack of appetite comes first, then nausea, then vomiting - it's all part of the same curve. I take compazine for the nausea. Some of the medicines I take have a side effect of nausea, but the nausea has been with me for about 3-4 years now, and the medicines have been changing. So I think it's the PSC that is causing the nausea.Marie

Hi everyone,

I've been dealing with some major nausea lately, and I can't pinpoint

the source. Is nausea a 'normal' part of PSC? This morning it's so

bad I can't even stomach a cup of hot tea, and I've not been able to

eat normally in some time. I have phenergan and am taking it PRN.

Fred has had very mild nausea for awhile--worse in the mornings--and

it's picked up as of late most likely due to stress (the economy, the

election, living with me, etc.). A year ago his nausea was one of the

precursors to his pancreatitis, along with a flare up of UC, and some

pretty bad gastritis. There's none of that happening, but would anyone

suggest he get a pancreatic enzymes blood test before we leave on a ten

day cruise Oct. 21? And if the results are high, any way to PREVENT

pancreatitis? Is it a process that can be reversed? He's lowering his

fat intake, and his news intake. (No news is good news.)
