Guest guest
Sue, Maybe I could try taking the Darvocet now to see if it will help anything. Thanks for the suggestion. I'm far from being an awesome person. More like a depressed soul looking for direction and some reason in life. Thanks for the compliment. -. Re: To Hi ! (((((((((hug))))))))) I take darvacet myself..it isn't very strong but it does help me with the pain..but I also take other things as well. I wouldn't want to think of you in pain. I am new to having Lupus and you no doubt know much more that me about what drugs you could or couldn't take due to the kidney involvement that you have right now. Maybe since you haven't taken the darvacet for awhile it would help you on really bad days now. Your system may of had a time to sort of detox from it. And you said you feel lazy when you have to lie around?? My goodness honey...you really have no choice!! I have learned that myself being a"Newbie Lupie"...LOL...If you gotta lay around..do it...you'll feel better for doing it! I do. You sound like an awesome person ! Guest guest
, I am sorry that your day was not pain free. You are so young! Did you have a good day in spite of the pain? Don't be afraid of getting older hon, we all made it okay, right guys? A little worse for wear, but we are alive and kicking! You have much too look forward to in life, maybe before you are thirty they will have a cure for this, you never know! a C Thanks for the birthday wishes. I'm a whopping 22 years old today. I can't believe that I've gotten so old. I remember when I'd be playing on the swings and monkey bars during recess when I was 10. I'm kind of afraid of getting older. And today is far from being pain free ... unfortunately. -.
Guest guest
Thanks . Actually, I think the perfect mother is the one that can teach their kids to do things around the house and I keep at it. This is one of the difficult lessons, because in many cases you have to keep at them, or they won't do it. The worse is doing everything for your kids, then they won't learn anything. My 9 year old takes out the garbage, and does a lot of house chores. He also likes to cook and I let him help in that area. Kasper (7 year old) takes out the recycling, and does a lot of dusting. Generally, I do not touch their bedroom or their playroom. One of their first duties in the mornings is doing their beds. They do that even on school mornings. I only help Arek, the almost 4year old, or have one of his brothers help him. The toys in their playroom are not exactly where I would put them, but they are put away. We have hardwood floors down there. Kasper vacuums it, Sebastian washes it. I think I would be hurting them if I didn't expect them to do these things. Oh, they also feed the dog and the cat. Arek is the baby, and with him it's a whole " situation " to get him to help his brothers picking up things. He thinks everyone will do things for him, but we're working on it, and he's getting better. My kids also put their dishes (and sometimes ours) into the dishwasher, and then help me sometimes empty it. I tell them they are lucky, when I was their age we had turns washing dishes in the sink, including pots. I think I'm ok in that aspect. I mean they're still kids and I sometimes have to put my foot down or they don't want to do it. But they do. I have the advantage, as there are so many times they want something from me. Before we leave to go somewhere where they want to be their rooms better be nice. Mojo Coming out of it > > > > > > > I think I'm finally starting to come out of my little flare. Guest guest
Hey , thanks for the soothing thoughts. I am on vacation for a week as of 5:00 p.m. today. I'll see what a week of no work related stress does. I believe Flexeril is one of the things I was on back in the beginning. I've had to stay away from several things because my liver readings go up. I'm glad to hear that you are feeling better. Warm thoughts barb brian_mosher2002 wrote: Have you tried Flexeril for your legs? I take half of one every night and it calms my legs right down so I can sleep. It has a mild sedative effect on me too which doesn't hurt either. If you're not taking it currently, try it before you get back to dealing with the steroids. I'll send soothing thoughts to your legs. I think I'm finally starting to come out of my little flare. Guest guest
, I am sorry to hear about your father. Please accept my deepest sympathy. I am glad that at least he went peacefully. God bless you and your family. Margaret, I'm so glad you got your appointment. Hope it goes well and you like the team there. Lou, It's such a good thing that you are working well with Hospice. I know there are exceptions, but by and large they seem to do a world of good. Now you can let people help YOU, I hope!
