Hi Debbie,

Welcome to the group ...seems very unfair that you're having to deal with your

2nd bout of cancer - and you're only 38 years old!

I'm looking forward to getting to know you better - with the active family you

have, I hope you'll have time to check in and let us know how you're doing.

You didn't mention anythng about your treatment...which stage are you in?

Chemo? Rads? How are you feeling?

Take care,

Ann

Hi Debbie,

I'm sorry to hear about your lung issues, as well as your

recurrance. Children's questions can certainly break your heart. I

wish I could offer more advice as to what to say to their questions,

but my kids (a bit older) have asked these questions as well and

I've just always responded with " I'm fighting as hard as I can and

doing whatever it takes to get well for our family " . I also have

two spots on my lung that they look at every three months (twice

now - scheduled to look at again in December) which is a scary

situation to be in. I will keep you in my prayers for good results

today. Best wishes my friend and try to stay strong.

Hugs,

Ellen

Call your local library and ask them if they have any books to explain to

them, age appropriate . When I was first diagnosed, the center where I went

had booklets available for kids of ages .
