Guest guest
My 1 year old, as considered by CT, has a severe case of plagiocephaly from lying on his back. Any chance for some good improvement at this stage? We've wanted the helmet for a while but our pediatrician kept saying it'll work itself out. When we seen someone else in the medical group, she insisted on the helmet at 9 months, but by the time the insurance had covered it and we finally got it, he started wearing it at 11 1/2 months and it's still on and off due to heat rashes. We're dealing with that now and hoping to have that resolved this week with our MD and Ct appt.
Guest guest
Hi, If I were you, I would definitely still pursue the helmet, even though your baby is over 1. Lucy has had hers for less than a week, and she is 1 year and 3 weeks old. We had similar delays getting the band, but she is doing great. At the CT office, they had lots of headsicle examples of older infants who have had success, and I spoke with some parents in the office while waiting who were thrilled with the results for their older babies. I think there is most difinitely still time for corrections even though our babies are older. I guess the way I look at it, is that it can only help, and any imporvement we see will be better than nothing. Best of luck with the rashes! and Lucy-Doc band since last Friday oneSearch: Finally, mobile search that gives answers, not web links.
