Guest guest
I have noticed that my urine is cloudy and appears to have things (??) floating in it. Does anyone have any ideas about what this is and if it's normal, if there is such a thing as normal? CC Dipstick tests Hi everyone. I test my urine with dipsticks maybe twice a month. I know that people have said on the board before that they give no accurate information but are just a general indicator. Since October I had my ACE inhibitor dose increased and since then I have noticed that I have no evidence of blood in my urine. I still have plenty of protein however. Does anyone know whether the change in ACE dose and the reduction in blood is likely to be linked? My BP has not varied that much. The dipstick also showed up for nitrite tonight. I understand that this can be the early indicator for a UTI. Maybe a trip to the doctors tomorrow. Best wishes to all. Guest guest
Hi CC, Cloudy is more indicative of infection than IgAN. What is more noticeable with IgAN is a frothy or foamy urine if you are spilling protein, but not cloudy urine. You may want to get a urine culture done to make sure you do not have a urinary track infection.
