Guest guest
- Behavior modification is ABA. Discrete Trials are a form of instruction within ABA. (As the kids get older or skills improve the tendency is to move away from trials and faze it out but ABA remains constant). If your child needs to be in an autism program (1:1 discrete trial) and your child is in a preschool disabled program you might want to reconsider how you are dealing with your district. Can you tell us more about the class? Barb hi all..ok here's a question..i have a home aba team for my son and at school he's suppose to be getting aba but all they are doing is trials. so the teacher saids to me..you're team isn't doing aba they're doing behavior modication. keep in mind..i have constant conflict between home and school teams..school gets very defensive and i had someone from my home team evaluate their program and sent a letter to the cst and had a chat with the psd teacher who writes the programs until they start the district aba program..my representative stated the school programs were well below my son's abilities... ok here's my question..what is suppose to be covered by aba? Guest guest
You said that the wires on the microphone end keep breaking. We had 's aid modified to have a connector on the Oscillator AND the microphone end. This way we have ordered several extra wires so we can replace them ourselves when it is broken. It has worked out well for us. (BTW: 's aid is a Unitron) Steve > Lynne, thanks for clearing that up for me. Guest guest
his bottom is red and he had apple juice quite a bit of it on saturday. Maybe that is it. He has had alot of things he shouldnt have, i will admit we have been bad these last couple of days. But i do want to tell everyone that today cameron finally for the first time in a long time noticed himself in the mirror. we were at therapy and he was standing in front of one of the large mirrors and he held his hands over his head and wiggled his fingers then he dropped them to his side and then he repeated it 3 more times and smiled in the mirror and walked away it was amazing to me because i am used to holding him infront of the mirror and having him squirm out of my arms. it was really cute! also we have had him doing therapeutic listening for a week now and i think that may have sparked a few new changes in him too. well i better go jessica
Guest guest
There IS a tummy bug going around and the school is trying to keep the other children safe just in case Cameron has a bug. Please give us a list of what Cameron is eating and drinking. Alyssa gets diarrhea from apples and apple juice (and some other foods in the phenols and salycilates category). Is his bottom bright red (an indication of yeast)?
