Guest guest
Wow, that has come quickly too . Does Nicholson weigh you before surgery, you have to have a marker to start from. We were so sorry to hear of your woes with the fire. Gald you were both safe. Hope to see you at the next meeting at our new venue. Guest guest
If anything, with the fire the time has flown past. With the fire on Friday morning, we were moved out and into a new place by Sunday afternoon, and believe me, moving is bad enough when you expect to do it, let alone when you have to and are not prepared. We had to get everything dismantled and cleaned, find a removalist and get boxes to pack everything in, as well as finding somewhere else to live. Phew!! What a weekend. It really is amazing how helpful people are when you go through something like this. I also had to go to Adelaide for 4 days the next week, but stayed at the Hyatt, so it was a nice break away from the smell of smoke. I now find myself with 3 weeks to go and still have to find time to have an ultrasound to see if I have any gall stones and have another visit with Doug. At this point I'm actually a little glad that they put my surgery back a week. How's it going for you? I hope you're not stressing too much about not losing. It's the old spiral, the more we worry about it, the worse it gets. Have you set a date yet? Guest guest
I think the main reason he wanted me to get the ultrasound was that I have been suffering from diarrhea soon after I eat, for the last 6-12 months - who needs Xenical anyway? He thinks it's either my gall bladder or I may be a coeliac (I mainly have trouble if I am eating a lot of bread). . Re: Re: sleeps , Glad to hear that your Dr has an ultrasound done to check your gall bladder. Having had two surgeries in the previous 18 months, it wasnt fun needing to have my gall bladder removed making it three ops in 18 months. Apparently its not difficult to remove the gall bladder at the same time as AGBanding. Sorry to hear about your fire woes. Guest guest
Ken I would say that is a possibility also, which is why I'm not going to be too concerned at cutting wheat, flour etc out of my diet. The only gluten I have at the moment would be in bread and I don't eat very often any more, so notice the difference when I do. At the moment I feel that I am FOOD intolerant. Am not really enjoying eating anything anymore. Guest guest
But I'm female, fat and only just thirty-two!!! Re: Re: sleeps I still think it would be a good pre-op test for anyone, especially the " at risk " group of female, fat and forty. Say the gall bladder is found to be full of stones, its much easier to remove it at the same time (as placement of AGB), than it is to wait for a full blown attack (the pain is incredible) and then need another general anaesthetic to remove it.
