Guest guest
hi all, My first mammo 1 year later is scheduled for this march. How many of you had some anxiety about that mammo, and what did you do to calm yourself. Oh and by the way, I had my 6 month checkup post surgery, and it went wonderfully. My surgeon saw my prostesis on the chair, and right before he examined me, he saw it, picked it up and said, " That feels like the right weight. " funny huh. Guest guest
I've got my first post-cancer mammogram scheduled for this coming Friday - I am a nervous wreck! My breast has been itchy for over a week, in anticipation I suspect. My husband is taking the day off to go with me (I sometimes think he's more nervous than I am!). I have a special outing planned for that evening, too, no matter what the prognosis I am taking my daughter, husband, sister and nephew to a haunted hayride. --------------------------------- Talk is cheap. Use Yahoo! Messenger to make PC-to-Phone calls. Great rates starting at 1¢/min.

Guest guest
The first mammo after treatment is a little nerve racking. Go in positive! I definitely know the feeling (I've been getting 6 month mammo's for 2-1/2 yrs). I'll be sending out strong vibes for you!!! Guest guest
Since my cancer did not show up on mammogram, I won't dread it. I expect nothing from the mammograms, never have. I had an implant put in for " symetry " on the good side so I will have to have a diagnostic work up, which will include an ultrasound. Have to make the system work for me! Yep, the cancer showed up on ultrasound. To bad there was never anything suspicious on the mammogram, it would have been caught sooner. Women with dense tissue should have both. Insurance doesn't cover proper screening for out type of breasts.
