I am wondering where and when you all meet and if there are any outreach programs in the general area for her to get staff to get her home program started.(don't laugh, I know how competitive it is to get hours from good people) Any help you could offer would be greatly appreciated. Thanks, Margaret >> Hello, Margaret. Is this friend (of a friend) on the internet? If so, or if she can get internet access, please have her join the Mosaic-List. It could provide her with a wealth of support and information from dozens of northern NJ parents and professionals at her fingertips. We will be posting Meeting location information shortly. Our next Mosaic meeting is scheduled for next Thursday, Jan. 11th at 9:45 am- 11:45 am. I would recommend that you try to get this parent to make an appointment to see the following DAN! doctor. She is an immunologist who specializes in treating very young children with autism: M. Hift, MD 985 5th Ave. NY, NY 10021 ph. If you call her office, she is usually very responsive in returning calls to parents of new patients. I have personally recommended over 70 parents of autistic children to her, and the overwhelming response is that she has been very helpful in pointing them in a positive direction. She is not terribly expensive and you can usually get an appt. within a few weeks' time. Regards, Terry

Guest guest
Hi Margaret, I live in Ringwood and have a 5 year old with Aspergers'. We have recently set up a Cooptions play group which meets at the local library on the second Thursday of each month from 5:15 to 6:15. I would be very happy to talk with your friend and have some resources I could share with her; a behaviorist, etc... has been GFCF for 8 months now and is doing great, so I could also help her with the diet. You can feel free to give her my email address and #. -Kathy H. kathyquilts@... --- M2Tracey@... wrote: > Hi all, > I have a parent(friend of a friend)that has a newly > diagnosed son in > Ringwood.(I have an 11 yr old son in a private > school here in > Co.)
