Guest guest
Hank and I went for our appointmant at Aerofit this morning. I was very impressed with the place. It was immaculate. The staff was super nice. The people using the equipment were all all mature people. The rates were half what I thought it would be. They have 3 outdoor pools and the indoor pool is at the other center in town. So we signed up. The rate for both of us will be $58 a month. I was paying $30 for Curves and $28 for water aerobics so for the same money both of us can go and we have access to a lot more equipment and stuff. They have a yoga and a pilates class that I can start right away that won't hurt my foot. For water aerobics I have to go to the other center until the end of April when the water warms up but they gave us both free passes to use until then. It's usually $5 a visit to use the other facility. We also get a free massage, can't wait for that. The jacuzzi is deep enough that I can do some foot stretches and exercises in it. I never belonged to a gym before so it's all new to me. Now they have personal trainers but they set me up with one who specializes in rehab. I will be meeting with her on Friday and she will design a custom workout for my foot and knee situation and also one for Hank with his knee and shoulder problems. This is extra and will run about $150 apiece but that is for a 6 sessions each and the evaluation and then we can call her in any time to get upgraded. So I have my lawsuit money set aside for a pool but I think it will be well spent on the trainer who can teach me what I need to do. It boils down to me having to work an extra hour and a half a week and the benefits are Priceless, like they say in the commercials. I am so pumped about it. Who would ever put the words Grammy Pat and Personal Trainer in the same sentence. HA HA The coordinator was super, super nice and helpful and when I told her about TOPS she gave me 10 3 day passes to give out at the meeting. Oh and they also have an exchange with some other gyms all over the place so if we are traveling or if Hank gets called a way again we can go and use the other places facilities. I am starting with recumbent bike and the jacuzzi tomorrow morning and water aerobics tomorrow night. And they have a belly dancing class and when my footheals they have spinning classes and so on. Man I will be hitting my 200 pound goal before I know it!!!
