Guest guest
I have been reading posts on this site since June when we found out our daughter (she's 6 1/2 months) had plagio and brachy. A month ago we had an appt. to get her cast for the STARband. Her measurements improved so much (91% brachy and 6-8mm plagio to 87% brachy and 2-4mm plagio) that we opted to give her another month to improve more. Our next appt. is in a week when we will have to make that decision yet again. There are days I look at her and she looks great and other days I would band her right then. She has no asymmetry. I guess my question now is how much more improvement should we consider good enough to wait on banding. I said if she would have significant improvement again, I would give her another month. I just wasn't expecting for her to improve on her own, so it took our decision to band and turned it into doubt as to what to do. I know many of you had a tough decision to make as well but stuck to your guns to go ahead and band, but I'm sure there are many more who went back and forth on the decision like I am. And for those whose babies were brachy babies and band grads, I am curious what your final measurements were and where you started out at. Thanks to everyone who takes the time to post and give all your opinions. This group has been a lifesaver and the best source of info yet.
