It hard to say because each of us are different. The best rule of

thumb is " Let your meter be your guide. " I made a homemade 3 cheese

pizza with a corn Tortilla, Mozzarella, Parmesan and artifical

chatter with a catsup. It spiked to 350, needless to say I stopped

making this pizza.

Now there are other kinds of flour that you could use in place of

bleached and whole wheat flour. Others here could give you some

advice on them.

Blessed Be,

Nightspirit

The world wide web at my finger tips and I can't find anything

interesting.

Hi Mindy,

That is what I do. If I stopped eating a food because I got one high

number, there would be very little food that I could eat. I can eat the same

thing

two days in a row and get different numbers.

With all this talk about pizza, we may go for pizza today, then again, we

may go to another restaurant where I'll have the taco salad.

Did you check after the 1 hour mark? Pizza is a little different from what I

hear in that it takes longer to spike due to the cheese as the fat will make the

rest of the carbs absorb slower. Just curious if you checked at 2 or 3 hours.

Isn't it hard to find a good-tasting homemade crust that won't spike you???!!!

Re: Pizza Question

Last night I did my Byetta shot and then supped on an Amy's Cornmeal

Crust pizza. Pretty awful stuff LOL. BUT, my sugar was down instead of

up at the 1 hour point, I guess because of the corn meal in the crust.

Who would have thunk that cornmeal would make such a difference.

From what I remember of other test sessions, pizza does not affect me

that way.
