This guy was old. I got a schedule from him before was born for feeding guidelines. Breast milk on demand or every two hours from birth until discontinued. Formula without iron for first 2 months, then gradually change to iron if not breast feeding. At two weeks, one tablespoon of rice mix in formula or breast milk per day. At three weeks, add to the above one jar of fruit per day. At four weeks, add to the above one jar of veggies a day. At six weeks, add to the above one jar of meat or substitute the veggies for meat and veggies mixed. Whole milk is fine as soon as baby can use a cup. Table food only diet after a year but table food can be given as soon as baby shows an interest. Just don't feed it exclusively. It worked. She's never had any troubles with digestion. She never had an ear infection. Come to think of it, until kindergarten, she never even had a cold. At five months, he recommended occasional cans of tuna dumped out on her high chair tray for the omega-3 vitamins. He recently retired and had a flourishing practice. I'm thinking of doing it for my next child. What do you all think?

Guest guest
Ok, stupid question... how do you *feed* a baby who can't hold their head up yet? S. -- ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Everyone has the right to believe and accept what they want, but reality doesn't discriminate. Reality is not different for different people. Not once has reality excused anyone for good intentions ignorance or stubbornness. Reality shows no mercy, accepts no excuses, and issues no pardons. Reality does not " turn the other cheek. " This does not mean that reality is cruel, it just means that reality is. You know, put them in a carseat with a headrest and strap them in, so they can't move ya know, then pull down their jaw and stick the spoon WAY for in - to the back of their throat to prevent them from being able to spit it out. (In case ya'll couldn't tell - I was being scarcastic. lol) Dawn and clan Ethan Adnan (8-25-00) 5 weeks early, VSD Elijah Iman (14 months) and Ibrahim Jerry (3) ***********My Angels************ Kiara Nichole - born still at 21 weeks - 5-16-96, 22 weeks, gained her wings at 15 hours old 2 m/c angels ********************************** Re: something awful! > > In a message dated 9/22/00 6:50:45 PM Central Daylight Time, sept9mom@... > writes: > > << Ok, stupid question... how do you *feed* a baby who can't hold their head > up > > yet? > > S. >> > they still make bottles that you can put cereal in and feed it to them that > way, someone actually gave me one before ELizabeth was born, needless to say > It won't ever be used > > -Llanda > Mommy to 4/4/2000 > visit 's Web page at http://www.growthspurts.com/view.asp?s=20924 > " I am in shape. Guest guest
You would put them in a reclining chair and prop them so that they are upright and give you a good short at their mouth. The other option, at least for cereal, is to mix it into the bottle and make the nipple holes bigger (my mom did this with me when I was under 2 weeks old.)
