Guest guest
((((((((((((())))))))))))), I know you were so wanting to avoid this, I hope you can get eveything straightened out, poor little girl. Love and Hailee Bad News Got a call from Miranda's Dr today....Monday's cultures were positive. He wants her to have the new line pulled and stay in the hospital for a while on TPN through an alternative line. Miranda is an impossible stick. Then have another line placed when she is totally cleared from the infection. She has an appointment tomorrow morning with him and he said to bring a bag to stay as long as he can arrange things with the surgeon. ____________________________________________________ IncrediMail - Email has finally evolved - Click Here Please contact mito-owner with any problems or questions. Guest guest
Steve and , I am so sorry to hear about the problem with Miranda's line and the impending hospitalization. I know from experience how this can be. Hopefully the infection will be cleared fast. has been on IV antibiotics for 10 days with two to go. Hopefully it will be only this long! Do they just wait for a clear culture or do you have to wait for the entire course of antibiotics? I know that 's culture came back clear after four days of antibiotics but we reamin on the entire dose.Good luck to all of you. Dawn

Guest guest
, I think that a lot of us don't respond to posts but still feel up to date and that we are sharing with one another about all the issues that go on. I am sorry not to acknowledge them more or be more encouraging and supportive as everyone needs from time to time. God bless you. Guest guest
Thank you for writing Dawn, We are yet to have a negative culture after months of IV antibiotic treatment. She restarted the Antibiotics the beginning of July( after having two days off waiting for culture results) and as of Monday cultures were still positive. We were hoping to be done today..... after another 14 day treatment. -- Re: Bad News Steve and , I am so sorry to hear about the problem with Miranda's line and the impending hospitalization. Guest guest
Dear , I am sorry - I don't think I have responded to your posts before. Sometimes I just don't get to them. But, I have been following Miranda and I sense your discouragement and sadness. Please know that there are more of us out here that care than you know. I remember Miranda's picture and think of her often. I am hoping and praying for good things for her and your family. Please know that we care. Guest guest
Hi , I read all your posts and empathize with your situation. I don't write much any more since I got slammed by several members here for voicing my opinion about something. Hand in there and know that we care. Guest guest
Lori, It seems I've seen complexes 1 and 4 together several times now. Do you know if that's common and if so, why? Going into hospital for my sleep study now. I'll check my email in a few days. I know just what you mean about how much the kids give US! We've come along way in 4 years! I love him immensely and despite his severe challenges, he has changed my life and the lives of my family members, infinitely for the better. One of these days I'll get a scanner and send a picture to the list. He's a real cutie! Take care, Lori, Christian (almost 7) and (4 tomorrow! with mito, defects in complexes I and IV) Re: Bad News Beautifully spoken, ...another (Grandmother to Carly and Maddy ... Mitokids) Lori, Please continue to speak out on this site in spite of sometimes when people are "obnoxious". I think sometimes we are all guilty of coming across rude, etc. when we don't mean to. Sometimes the emails don't come out sounding right and other times we're just busy, tired, or down. Sometimes we really feel rotten and mean and just don't care about people for a bit. That is no excuse for hurting others but it happens. I think I've done it too and for any time I have, I deeply apologize and ask forgiveness of anyone I've made feel bad. But we are all needed here. And furthermore, we all NEED to have the healing voices and compassion of the others who truly understand our fears and pains and fatigue, those who walk in our shoes daily and nightly. Please, please, add your own wisdom and love to the group. And allow us to minister to you specifically when you need help and understanding. And thank you for being so brave to speak up about your hurt feelings! That's really hard to do. ScogginsPlease contact mito-owner with any problems or questions.
