Zanna,

I agree with you that your pain doesn't sound like the typical pulled

muscle, especially coming and going and lasting this long. Remember

that pain in the abdomen/back can be referred from someplace else (but

probably nearby) in the body. Sounds like the docs just really can't

identify it so they don't know what to do.

My husband had a rather severe pain in his lower back that sure

sounded to me like a kidney infection. His UA came back clean and the

doc said to just wait it out. Took almost a week as I remember, but

finally went away. He always drinks cranberry juice but upped his

intake just in case it was a bladder thing.

The diary sounds like a great idea! Could it be indigestion? A food

diary would help rule that in or out. Noting how changes in position

or time of day affects the pain could help the docs figure out what

really is going on.

So sorry you're still in such pain! Believe me, we can all relate to

the frustration of docs not listening.
