Guest guest
Well, Caleb had a ct scan on Monday. Wednesday the plastic surgeon saw him, and said he has severe positional plagiocephaly. For those who may not remember my intro, we just adopted Caleb from Guatemala. So, his foster mother must not have ever turned him. When I asked the doctor he said it was definitely not a birth issue. He did say Caleb has a bit of a neck muscle problem, but it is due to the plagiocephaly being so severe. He wrote me a script for the helmet and therapy. On Thursday Caleb was casted for his helmet. He'll be wearing it for 4 months the doctor said. The helmet looks similar to a football helmet. I have printouts of each side of Caleb's CT Scan. Thanks to the kind nurse for printing them for me to send to my husband in Iraq. In the front scan, I can see 2 of his bottom teeth will be coming in first. I thought that was cool. I also have pictures to share of him being casted on Thursday. I tried to upload them, but it says the upload quota is exceeded. I've deleted all my pictures from other , and it still won't let me even post one picture. Anyway, Caleb's helmet will be picked up on the 25th. 3 days before he turns 6 months old. I'm eager to get his therapy started so he can start healing. Each of my visits have been around 7 hours because of the drive and waiting for the doctors to get us in. Its been a crazy busy week this week. I ordered the blue colored helmet. Too bad they don't come with a way to change the colors. Well, I just wanted to pop in and give an update. I hope to find out what's up with me not being able to post pictures. Maybe someone can give me instructions on how to make more room? I deleted like 15 pictures from the adoption group, and it still won't let me add a single picture here. Thanks for any help. Also, one last thing. A huge thank you to Sandy for all your help. I probably would still be waiting for a referral to the doctor if it hadn't been for you. Thanks for all the great info! If I have to I'll pick him up in Atlanta. If I new when he left Kuwait I could be there before he even gets there. Email me or call me when he gets his helmet in. Oh and it's not your quota that is over, it's this groups quota for pictures. usually takes care of all the picture issues, but I know she is very busy too. Let us know when the band comes in. You can add stickers to it to kind of change it around a litte - check the files section. na, DOC Grad Feb 04 Kiersten, DOC Grad April 06 www.thefilyaws.com/plagio/plagio.html > > Well, Caleb had a ct scan on Monday.
