Guest guest
Way to go Steve! I am on the planning committee for our local Tour de Cure in Nashville, TN. I don't ride, but I provide communications (HAM radio) and SAG support for the ride. We have several diabetics who ride. One gentleman over 60 who has Type I and has neuropathy in his legs rode the entire 2 day, 150 mile route! Tour de Cure I don¹t know what motivated my older son (24) who is non-diabetic to do this but I¹m certainly glad he did. He decided that the family, my wife, my younger son (22) and his girlfriend and my older son¹s girlfriend and me of course to ride the Tour de Cure in New York City this year. Collectively we are called ³The Goonies². He¹s so excited that he¹s pumped up. I guess because of the challenging bike ride as well as his brother and father are type II¹s. Whatever his motivation, I¹m glad he¹s rallying everybody behind ³The Goonies² flag. Steve.
Guest guest
Thanks . Now, that guy who rode 150 miles, that's impressive. I normally ride anywhere from 72 -90 miles a week so I can appreciate the challenge of doing a century and a half (150 miles).
