Did he change the amount because he read your results and saw what was

going on and figured he knew how to proceed with treatment or what?

Usually after taking all those readings they look thru them. If you

want to continue testing more often you can.

That's really why a lot of them tell you to stop testing so often but

if your insurance company was already paying for that amount then you

can keep doing so.

You are right on that. It is the way I discovered the most

information and was able to change my way of eating and exercise

levels. It also helped me discover that some symptoms I thought were

lows really weren't. It was actually that I went high and had a huge

drop and my body thought it was too low. In the past I would have

just eaten more thinking I was hypo when in reality I went back up too

high again. So you see I was never able to control my numbers that

way by guessing. Just tell them you want to still try out some new

foods and see about exercise and how it affects you. They really can't

deny writing the prescription if your insurance indeed will pay for

it. The original amount of testing was the best way unless of course

you already have all the info you need to keep your numbers level.
