Hi Everyone,

I'm a newbie on here and hopefully very shortly I'll be a loser too. My

name is

and I live in NC. I've done all of the required tests and passed and

am

waiting on insurance approval. The surgeon said that it shouldn't be long.

I'm

also very excited about getting to know all of you and learning from you.

It's nice

to have found a place to go where I feel like I belong. I wasn't really sure

what you

would like to know about me but I'm an open book. If there is anything you

want to

I am just now asking a Dr for a referal to the bariatric program (my

husband is Navy). So, where you are in this whole process sounds like

a long way off to me.

I hope you get your approval quickly so you can get your surgery date.

Thanks to everyone for the warm welcome. I'm very excited about the future.

I've done enough research that I feel very informed going into this. My

husband

and daughter are excited too but they are very concerned for my well-being.

I've

tried educating them, I even took them to the seminar with me but it hasn't

helped.

He supports me all of the way and says that he is very much looking forward to

taking care of me during the healing process. I'm just trying to get him to

understand

that I am in more jeopardy staying this size than I am having the surgery.

I would be very interested in learning if anyone in NC had the surgery at

Durham

Regional Hospital and any stories they would care to share with me.
