We got our helmet today and so far my dd is doing well. I was a

little shocked when (OPA in The Woodlands, TX) called to say it was

ready, because we went in a week ago for her mold. She screamed

throughout that whole process though. When I got the call today, I

wasn't quite ready for it all, but I am adjusting pretty good so far

as well.

She didn't complain at all when they put it on her or adjusted it.

She fussed a little the first time I took it off to check for spots

when I put it back on. Her first nap with it on she has fussed a

little bit, but can't say for sure that is the helmet or the fact

that we got off our nap schedule.

We are still waiting to hear about insurance, but decided to go ahead

and move forward with treatment so as not to delay the process any

more.

I think she looks pretty cute in it.

I am glad you decided to go ahead and get the helmet. You won't regret it.

Are you going to decorate it? The ortho was so excited to see our helmet

painted in Minnesota Vikings. She said that is the cutest thing she has seen

in a long time. I hope the adjustments go well at home for you and her.

Hi Jasmine We live in New Orleans and use OPA as well. Our son DJ got his helmet on Monday, a day before Savannah! DJ is also 7 months old. He is adjusting well to the helmet...only a few red areas. We're scheduled to our first follow up next Monday AM. Maybe we'll see you there sometime. Good luck with everything. shootersstation13 <shootersstation@...> wrote: We got our helmet today and so far my dd is doing well. I was a little shocked

Thanks for your kind thoughts. , we hope to see you there sometime. We go on Tuesday next week.

There was another woman there getting a band for her son. It was nice to have someone else going through exactly the same thing at the same time. We got to talk and ask questions. I told her how invaluable this group has been.

Thanks for all the support and the answers to the many questions.
