Guest guest
Hi , I have a 7 years old son that is not apraxic, but he also had severe eczema, which was cured by the Omega 3, 6 and 9 supplements. I had no idea that it would help this I just gave him the Pro Efa after reading about all the benefits to the general public (heart, attention, etc), in fact my husband and I also take this supplement. If you are new to this, the best book I ever read is " The Late Talker " , it helps you understand Apraxia and to guide you through treatment options. It is extremelly important that you get Speech Therapy from a qualifyed and trained Speech Therapist that understands Apraxia, I waisted two very precious years of my son's life with conventional speech, with no results... You could try flax seed and borage oil if you definetelly don't want to use the fish oil, which is the one most of us use (Pro EFA). Good Luck, Deborah <fire4244@...> wrote: Hi all! I just stumbled onto this apraxia thing a couple of weeks ago and I've got a ton to learn! I have a 2 year old daughter who I believe has it. We are getting her offically tested next week and then will hopefully start some therapy. In the mean time, I ordered some vegetarian DHA supplements for her to take. (We are a family of vegetarians and prefer dha from algea rather than fish.) So far though, all I see is fish this and fish that.... I just wanted to make sure that what I bought is going to do the trick just as well. I'd like to continue with it because for one, it's vegetarian and that means a lot to me, and two... I spend $75 and have 3 bottles of it!!!!!! also, is there anything else I need to be giving her as far as supplements? And one more question... she had SEVERE eczema for her first year of life (while being breastfed) The only thing that would keep it under control was me taking evening primrose oil (and it transfering through breastmilk). Is her eczema and apraxia connected in anyway? Because it is my (limited) understanding that her eczema could have been caused by her not being able to convert certain.... ummm.... EFA's??? I think? (this is all greek to me and I'm trying to learn as I go!) I'm just trying to connect dots I guess, Thanks in advance! - __________________________________________________
