Guest guest
Any helpful suggestions on how to treat someone who has been glutened? I have given her Pepto Bismol...but now I am concerned that that may have had gluten in it too...I didn't look at the label first and now I am at work worried that I made her worse!!! What do you take after you have been glutened? Thanks in advance... -
Guest guest
Well, many people on here prefer tonic water with quinine(sp?) in it. They say it helps with the stomach pains. But personally, I just let it run its course. I had never heard of the tonic water solution before joining this group and think it's worth a shot. Can't make it any worse, right? I hope your daughter feels better soon! >> Any helpful suggestions on how to treat someone who has been glutened? > I have given her Pepto Bismol...but now I am concerned that that may > have had gluten in it too...I didn't look at the label first and now I > am at work worried that I made her worse!!!> > What do you take after you have been glutened?> > Thanks in advance...> > ->

Guest guest
Dearest Cassi, I thought for sure you were going to write " one week of viili " . ];-) Esther, troublemaker obsessed with viili > > > > Any helpful suggestions on how to treat someone who has been glutened? > > I have given her Pepto Bismol...but now I am concerned that that may > > have had gluten in it too...I didn't look at the label first and now I > > am at work worried that I made her worse!!! > > > > What do you take after you have been glutened? > > > > Thanks in advance... > > > > - > > > Mega doses of Bromelean, mega probiotics and LOTS of water... > Im so sorry. Guest guest
Don't worry, Pepto Bismol is g-f. I don't know if it helps, though, if one has been glutened. I take Imodium, but I don't get real severe reactions. My reactions happen fast, within 30 minutes, I have the big D twice, a belly ache for a few hours, and that's it. So sorry about your daughter, but it does happen to all of us at one time or another. Its been used for years as an anti-gas as well as an anti inflamatory agent. It works by breaking down undesirable proteins (such as gluten and other carbohydrates) at an accellerated rate. Some here probably remember the advertisments for "Bromo Seltzer", that was a precourser to Alka Seltzer.... it was a pineapple derivitive. Its some pretty good stuff for gas pain. Its a bit pricey for a good quality tablet, but worth the $ if you get sick!Best!CassiGluten free in downtown Imatra!
Guest guest
Oddly enough, my town was once considered the Bromo Capital of the world. My town was examined by the FBI because they could not figure out why so much of it was used in a year. Apparently, the old timers would go to the local store every day at lunch and then before dinner and have a Bromo. I guess it is safe to assume that they were not filled with hot air. > > > > Hey that helps me too--my daughter Molly was glutened last week and is > still sick and crampy.
