I am absolutely astounded that all the SF jello recipes have splenda

added.

Isn't your jello sweet enough as it is.

Your cream cheese hasa higher carb count than outs - so it has more

sugars.

Aren't you doing what all your manufacturers are doing

surreptitiously- promoting the desire for extra sweetness.

Earlier this year - I think it was on a different list - there were

recipes being posted for protein bars.

I followed them.

They were either too sweet or too " fatty /oily " in flavour.

I played around with the ingrediewnts to suit myself.

In the end there was NO ADDED sweetener, and NO ADDED butter.

They tasted terrific to me - so terrific and moreish in fact that

insted of eating 1 or 2 small sections a day, I ate half of it in

one go, and finished the rest on the morrow.

That happened a few times and weight crept up.

Everyone has their own taste. Some add the SPlenda and some don't. As for our cream cheese over here, I do not find it sweet at all and not at all appetizing unsweetened.

Also when the recipes are calling for SF Jell-O, cream cheese and cream it needs the sweetener. They are very unappetizing without it.

Products vary greatly by country as you are aware and so do peoples palates :)

I think we had a discussion about the cream cheese and found that it was the

same... Our Philidelphia is .754 per 1 ounce/28.350g

Hi Kathy,

You're right that we did have this discussion before.

You're wrong about the outcome.

Our Philly has 0.4 carbs per 25 gms, or 4 carbs for an 250 gm

package.

According to your figures 250 gm = 6.65 carbs.

Some people ( eg Vered) know about my fondness/ obsession for

numbers.

I keep a calculator next to my computer.

I also keep a calculator next to my kitchen scales, which go up in 2

gm increments.

Now all I need to do is use them. LOL

Sorry, I didn't mean to sound crass, but arguing about why some prefer sweeter dessert than others seem pointless.

And since our cream cheese is listed done way and your another and neither one of us has access to the other, this really doesn't matter either.

I think numbers are kind of neat myself... but the metric system is just not

easy for me to convert...

My cream cheese comes in 8 ounce (227g) packages and it has 6.0382 carbs...

maybe your cows are just different. :)

Bett,

You are absolutely the sweetest ( and I mean it in the best possible

way).

You brighten up my day.

Hugs
