YES. many Clinique lipsticks are gluten-free. the only 2 I know off the top of my head that contain gluten are their Long Last Soft Shine lipsticks and their tinted lip balms. The gluten-containing ingredients most often found in lipsticks are: triticum vulgare, wheat starch, oat starch, barley. Many companies (Clinique was *amazingly* helpful through e-mail) will provide you a list of their gluten-containing ingredients and then you can look at the ingredients on their packaging.I have safe lipsticks and glosses from LORAC and Stila and Benefit and MAC as well as Clinique. BTW, it's worth mentioning that when I heard from Clinique, I discovered I had about 3 lip products of theirs that I could no longer use - and they sent me prepaid packaging so I could mail them the items, and then they refunded me in full! what a customer-oriented company. i'm the makeup maven, so I'll answer any gf

questions anyone might have if I can :)Marie Gossling wrote: Any suggestions for GF lipsticks? jenschalliol@...

While we are asking the question, does anyone know of lipsticks that are BOTH gluten free AND soy free? They so often put vegetable oil or vitamin E into everything  and I haven't found one I can use. Any help? Cheryl in MNrxp_us@...

I don't know about them because they don't make the information very accessible - I've looked! My guess would be, if you have a rep, get a phone number from her that you can call. otherwise, look on the website for a phone number and good luck!A Olsen wrote: Do you know what products are GF for Kay?Jen Schalliol <jenschalliol (AT) yahoo (DOT) com> wrote: YES. many Clinique lipsticks are gluten-free. the only 2 I know off the top of my head that contain gluten are their Long Last Soft Shine lipsticks and their tinted lip balms. All of Arbonne's lipsticks are GF. We have 28 shades available. Arbonne products are botanically based, hypoallergenic, dermatologist-tested, never tested on animals, formulated without mineral oil, and formulated without dyes and chemical fragrances. I thought I'd throw that one out there... Does anyone know for sure if Mark. brand lipsticks are gf? Does

anyone use this brand? I have checked the ingredients on the

different kinds they sell, and they appear to be gluten free, but I

am not sure which one I have to buy. My daughter is doing

competitive dance this year and all of the dancers have to have the

same makeup. One of the dancers sells Mark., so that is the brand

they decided to use. I told them that we can only use it if they

are gluten free. We meet with the makeup person tomorrow to see

what they want us to order.

I went through all of the ingredient lists so far and it appears

that only 2 of the 4 mascaras have gluten in them (the waterproof

ones), and the rest of the makeup I checked appears to be gf. I

also checked the Mark./Avon site and requested a gluten free list.

I got a response and list the next day, but the list seems to be

outdated, as many of the items listed are no longer for sale. The

customer service rep did say if my daughter needed to use a

particular item that was not on the list then I needed to contact

her and she would check those specific items. she also said that

the list was not complete. It seems to me that the list is only the

items that people have requested specific information about and when

they are found to be gluten free then they are added to the list...

Are you wanting to know about all of them or just a certain

lipstick/gloss? I can look up ingredients on the internet via the Avon

reps website.

The only thing I couldn't find ingredients for is Dew Drenched

Moisturlicious Lip Color.

Actually I was wanting to know if anyone uses these products. They

do list the ingredients on the website

http://www.meetmark.com/PRSuite/home/home.jsp My problem is that I

used to have a list of all of the " scientific " names that gluten

grains were listed as on makeup labels, and now I can't find it. So

I read through all the ingredients and they all appeared to be

gf...I just don't want my daughter getting sick. I am pretty sure

they will be using one of the colors of the Fresh Kiss lip stick and

these are the ingredients:

Ingredients of Fresh Kiss

RICINUS COMMUNIS (CASTOR) SEED OIL, PETROLATUM, POLYBUTENE,

MICROCRYSTALLINE WAX, ISOPROPYL PALMITATE, OZOKERITE, CETYL

RICINOLEATE, HYDROGENATED CASTOR OIL, LANOLIN, OCTYL

HYDROXYSTEARATE, CAPRYLIC/CAPRIC TRIGLYCERIDE, POLYETHYLENE,

TRIISOSTEARYL CITRATE, ETHYLHEXYL METHOXYCINNAMATE, ACRYLATES

COPOLYMER, FRAGRANCE, MYRISTYL LACTATE, ALOE BARBADENSIS EXTRACT,

SIMMONDSIA CHINENSIS (JOJOBA) SEED OIL, TOCOPHERYL ACETATE, SILICA,

PROPYLPARABEN.

MAY CONTAIN: MICA, TITANIUM DIOXIDE, IRON OXIDES, RED 7 LAKE, YELLOW

5? LAKE, RED 33 LAKE, RED 21 LAKE, BLUE 1 LAKE.

See it looks all right to me. What do you guys think?

I was having the same problem. I can get the list of ingredients. but

I'm not sure if anything on there contains gluten.

Aside of the obvious things like wheat germ oil, and oat products, I'm

not sure where some of the ingredients in cosmetics come from.

I had a handcrafted soap and lotion business for years so I have a good

idea about a lot of the oils and waxes but some of the ingredients in

the preservatives I haven't a clue about.

I would question some of the alcohols because those could be grain

based. All of the Mark lipsticks and glosses look to me to be gluten

free but without a list of gf ingred...?

Unfortunately I can't tell you from experience because my husband is the

one with Celiac. I can tell you he hasn't gotten glutened from kissing

me and all I wear are Avon products ;o)

I will keep checking into it and see what I can find out.
