Has anyone had a problem with these? I thought it odd once we tracked them down that the large pack found at Sams Club has WHEAT clearly listed on the label, but the 25 pack of the same product found at Walmart does not.

We have been eating the Walmart ones for quite sometime, but we have a new pack (Walmart pack, no wheat listed) and 2 of our 3 celiacs are sick,- one with diareah and one with an awful rash that the dr. can't figure out. Our 3rd celiac ate them also, and seems fine ,\but nothing seems to affect him on the surface.

I am surprised that they would formulate a different product for Walmart than Sam's club, but that is what the labels show.

Just wondering if anyone else has had issues.

Our kids have really enjoyed these up until now - and it may not be the taquitos at all. It is hard to know.

thanks,

Sorry to hear the boys are sick. My daughter and I ate Delimax Taquitos from Walmart yesterday and didn't react, however I have found the ones at Sams are not gluten free. I wonder if there was a cross contamination, or mislabeling issue.I know there is more than one version of the Delimax chicken taquitos, one of them being grilled. Good luck in finding the culprit, and I hope your boys feel better soon.

Some of the chicken taquitos are made with FLOUR tortillas. I think

delimex makes them both ways (I know they make them with flour - I

saw them at Target yesterday). You have to look very carefully at

the package - it's not obvious. The BEEF taquitos are GF (delimex

only makes them with the corn tortillas).

In the past I have eaten Delimex Taquitos without

problems. If there are 2 different kinds around, I

would think that they have recently changed the

recipe, and the one without wheat is the old one.

Trader Joe's, if you have one around, also has g-f

taquitos. I thought they tasted better than Delimex.

I hope you can find something. There a lot more g-f

foods around than when some of the older celiacs were

diagnosed, but we still don't like to have old

reliables taken away from us!

In my area, Sam's carries only the flour version of the Chicken

Taquitos, while Walmart carries the corn version. I'm thankful that

Delimex puts the word FLOUR in big letters on the front of the box

on that version. Delimex makes a lot of products. Why Sam's and

Walmart carry different versions? Marketing strategy. They want

you in both stores.

I've had no problems with the corn tortilla chicken taquitos from

walmart.

Hope the family is feeling better soon.

My friend had some in her freezer. I read the label and it didn't list gluten

in any form. It did have milk though so I had to pass.

I make my own taquitos. I just made some chicken ones last night. I boiled a

whole cut up chicken for a few hours on low and then shredded it and mixed it

with some canned green chilis and a little bit of homemade salsa. I warm up

about 4 corn tortillas at a time for 30 seconds. I fill each one with about 2

tsp. of chicken mixture and then boil them until crisp in peanut oil. We served

them with some homemade salsa. I don't usually make guacamole because I am the

only one that will eat it. I make beef ones the same way.

The ones I found at our local kroger store have SOY SAUCE in them

but say nothing about having wheat. I decided we had had too much

gluten for the week--what with the play-doh & all--so I decided to

pass them by. Maybe the taquitos you got have soy sauce??

Sorry the kiddos are sick. :o( Laurel

My kids like the Whole Foods Kids Taquitos that Whole Foods Market

sells. They are on the gluten free list at Whole Foods.
