Yah, those paper products and all that glue. Imagine - BURNING

inhaled gluten. Yuck! ];-)

Either this will help or he'll roll his own.

gluten in them so that he will finally try to quit??? Only half way

some cigarettes DO have added wheat products. something to know! also, in researching this particular subject, I came across the weirdest article ever: http://www.celiac.com/st_prod.html?p_prodid=1021 & p_catid=9 & sid=91hH9H1V02Z73W9-14106411860.b7jenschalliol@...

Cigarette smoking protects against that other dreaded condition,

too: vampire-like earthly immortality.

re

From the weirdest article ever:

} This suggests that cigarette smoking truly protects against

} the development of adult coeliac disease. "

Trust me! I have tried begging, nagging, getting the kids to make him feel

guilty, his dad offered him 2,000.00 to quit, his immediate family has begged

him......He is stubborn....I smoked for ten years though and I know how hard it

is to quit (been smoke free for almost 10 yrs.) and also I know that when people

are nagging you, it just makes you want one even more.

My daughter finally sat down and wrote him a letter. She told him she wants him

to be walking her down the aisle someday and not following his coffin down the

aisle before she has a chance to get married. She is a very good writer. He

bought light cigarettes the other day. Apparantly he thinks that will help him

quit.....

I won't kiss him until he brushes his teeth and he only smokes outside, never in

the cars or house.

Remember that colonoscopy soapbox I was on the other day..........smoking puts you at a 50% higher risk for colon cancer. Celiac & smoking, I can't imagine what it does to his odds.

Just so you know I can balance w/humor on this soapbox -- when we were leaving the hospital, just an hour after watching my father pass away (after being taken off life support - yes, he was alert & told the dr. himself that's what he wanted) I got separated from my family while catching the elevators to go to our cars. I was alone with some twenty-something med.student type in the elevator & proceeded to verbally invade his space by telling him about making sure to get a colonoscopy when the time came. lol - poor kid!! After that I decided I better get one myself, before I started lecturing others! And I did.
