Guest guest
Hi- I thought I would add another Vitamin E update. My son has been on EFAs for several years, and was never one that saw the huge benefit from it. He started to answer yes/no quesitons for the first time after we started them, and made many more verbal attempts with us and therapist when we started. But, he really never had a language surge of any kind. He remained severely apraxic. That was about 3 years ago - now at 7 years old and in 1st grade he is definitely a verabl child and is making progress every day. He also is globally delayed and very much fits the (European and Canadian) description of Developmental Coordination Disorder. We started Vit. E a little over a month ago. I have not seen any change in language, behavior or fine motor skills. I have, I think, seen improvements in gross motor abilities. As his soccer coach, I'm pretty tuned into this. What we really saw was him go from a beginning bike-rider (learned to ride a 2-wheeler in late July) to looking like he has been riding for years. Standing up while pedaling, off curbs, great steering ability, etc.) Was this the E? I have no idea. also has epilepsy, so unfortunately he is not the pure apraxic that some of your kids are-
