Suzanne,

Back in 1999, I bought this book for my son's school slp and school

ot. It is a very child friendly book and my son loved the

activities. Both the SLP and OT were thankful since most of their

resources have to come out of their pockets and they had little

resources for working with apraxic children.

I would give the workbook a 4 out of 5 stars, but I would also look

at oral motor planning activities. Such as blowing whistles, kazoos

or bubbles, chewing starbursts or marshmallows, blopens were great

art projects while strengthening the mouth muscles.

I also invested in the Kaufman Cards sEts 1 and 2. It took close to

two years before we moved on to other things.

I couldn't find this book/workbook anywhere! Unfortunately not even at library,

it isn't in print anymore. I purchased one from ebay and am waiting for

delivery. I am hoping it is helpful. It was $50-$60 new from Amazon.

I might be passing it along after I am done....will see.

I attended a 2 day seminar last summer & the main speakers were the

slps that write this series. They are GREAT!!!

I used many of the worksheets w/ my daughter & our slp has copied

many of them as well, she finds them very usful. The books are avail

through the publisher, linguisystems.

We also like Speech Steps - it's a workbook I bought at Superduper.
