Hospitals are NOT expensive hotels with childcare and room service.

I know that feeling.

I asked my dr. to go home after 24 hours because I couldn't get any rest in

there. Told him I timed it and every 20 mins someone was coming in around

the clock. That and they were not feeding me enough. He went and got me a

second tray of food and told them to bring me extra food for my meals. He

let me go home at 24 hours when the hospital staff (you know...procedure)

decided that it was safe to send the baby home.

Hmm. I suppose that may be true, but I hope it isn't!

Wow, . I too had a section, no milk, and an infection that pushed up

my fever sky-high...but I was in the hospital for 8 DAYS post-op! I was

under medical care 24/7!

I am shocked that you were sent home the day after a section. Is that

standard practice? It shouldn't be!!!!!!

Wow.

Isn't that the suckiest part about babies? They gotta come out. :-(

I wish I had some sound advice for you, but I've only ever had the one

section. But even with the hell I went through with that section (granted,

I didn't need blood!), I would probably elect to do it again, since natural

birth with would have been life-threatening for both of us and I

wouldn't want to risk it.

I wish you luck with this decision; I can o nly imagine what a hard one it

is to make!
