Guest guest
Today I picked up my RX of Novalog 70/30 and but it was the wrong med..The pharmacist gave me Novalin 70/30..at the cost of $141.35 for two bottles. Not only was it the wrong med...but the price was too high. I used to pay $25.00 for 3 bottles of Novalog 70/30...Also, my husband is mad because I embarrassed him for making a fuss. I just can't do anything right. Fortunately, our cousin Ray is visiting us Saturday and he's a doctor. Stayed tuned.
Guest guest
If they gave you Novolin 70/30 (check the spelling on the bottle) they gave you the right stuff and charged you the wrong price. Two bottles of Novolin 70/30 should cost in the neighborhood of $60 - $70. $141.35 for two bottles sound like Novolog 70/30. Either way, it looks to me like your pharmacy made an error and it needs to be corrected. Novolin 70/30 works differently than Novolog 70/30. (Not to mention the difference in costs as well!). If they filled the Rx wrong, or if they charged you wrong, either way they need to correct it. Not just for your benefit, but so they can identify potential problems in their store and potentially prevent a fatal accident in the future. You shouldn't be embarassed that you are 'making a fuss,' you should be proud that you have identified a potential problem or lack of training or attention to detail that the pharmacy needs to address, and be glad you did it before a similar error happens and someone dies. Not to be overly dramatic... but if the wrong meds are dispensed, it could be extremely serious. Guest guest
I would have brought it to their attention, too. The wrong medication can be deadly. And, obviously they must not have had your insurance card in there or something for it to be that high. Tell him he can be embarrassed all he wants to the tune of $115! Guest guest
My aunt died as a result of the pharmicist giving her the wrong medication a few years back. > > > > Today I picked up my RX of Novalog 70/30 and but it was the wrong med..The > > pharmacist gave me Novalin 70/30..at the cost of $141.35 for two bottles. > > Not only was it the wrong med...but the price was too high. Guest guest
oh gosh. how horrible. My husband's oldest grandson is off to college this August. He was accepted into a 6 year pharmacutical school. I think he is on a good course. Now it seems pharmacists are a true part of the medical world. I know I get more information and more help from the pharmacists I deal with than the doctors. Seems to me that the drs are giving drugs based on what the pharmacutical companies' reps tell them and hand out free samples to see if they work for patients. Personally, I rarely take any drug that hasn't been on the market for at least 5 years. The FDA does not inspire me! I want to know results before I test out a new drug. The drs who have been treating me for a period of time are aware of this, the new ones learn or are history. I, too, am a part of my medical team! Vioxx was pushed in my face for too many years with my refusing it...... need I say more? I am desperate to control (yes CONTROL) my diabetes with foods (which I am not 100% trustful of either LOL) rather than meds and maybe, just maybe I will succeed. So far so good - praying to the powers that be it should continue. hee hee, I think I've lost another pound or two. Goal right now is to loose 2 more lbs before my b'day on the 19th! let us pray LOLing again. Guest guest
Not all pharmacists are bad. Matter of fact the one that I have been using for the past 7 or 8 years I trust completely. > > oh gosh. how horrible. My husband's oldest grandson is off to college this > August.
