Guest guest
Happy Mother's Day to all. 2 days after my flutter ablation. No afib, no flutter, though frequent pac's, especially if I'm active, but everything settles back to NSR when I stop and rest. Hoping this is just the post ablation agitation like last time. Well, of course it is. It's just hard to be patient. It took about a week after the " big " ablation (13 days ago) before things settled. But then, that's when the flutter kicked in. I'm wondering if some of the pac frequency is related to my general (lack of) conditioning, since I've been avoiding exercise for so long with my afib. Must get myself back into shape. I remember that before afib became a big problem that the better condition I was in (the more regular exercise I had gotten) the less frequent were my bouts of pac's and (what I presume was) afib. Hope it will help. If anyone has any experience in this arena, please let me know. Specifically, how did you get back in shape? Any particular exercise regimen or schedule? Thanks. Guest guest
Lester - Sounds like the second procedure was a charm. Congratulations and thank you for telling us about everything. This makes it all easier to think about when we have vicariously " enjoyed " your experiences. I like to use the elliptical machine in the gym. You can set the resistance and the slope. And it is not hard on the knees or hip joints - not at all like pounding away on a treadmill. I wear an inexpensive heart rate monitor just to keep track of how I am doing and so as not to push myself too hard. Keep us posted!
