I don't understand about drinking water. I mean I understand that drinking

water will cut the BS# down. How does that let us know what our bodies are

doing and whether or not what we are eating is doing damage to our bodies?

It seems like a cover up to me. Is it??? I love water and can drink it all

day long. Oh, also, does it have to be water or can it be anything like

koolade or tea or soft drink???

Judith:

High blood sugar causes dehydration in that the sugar attracts the water

molecules in the blood - hence, your blood becomes thick and syrupy.

Drinking water, maintaining good hydration, is good for everyone! No, tea,

coffee, cola - or other diuretic substances do not count - those contribute

to dehydration - particularly in the case of caffeine! Drinking water is no

more a cover up than meds or diet and exercise!

Here's to a big glass of H2O!

,

wonderful explanation. off to get some more water.

also, what I was asking was if koolade which I make with spenda and all that

water, didn't count as water. As far as I can tell it is not a diruetic or

have any caffiene which I avoid!

uhmmm, just re-read your note before sending this one. What sugar? I don't

touch the stuff any more.

Ok, OK. BLOOD GLUCOSE! ;oD It's funny, Judith - my sister in law has

bugged me for months about drinking LOTS of water for the bg - I just smiled

and let it go (what on earth good could WATER do for bg??) - I DO drink

water, but didn't know that being diabetic - with excessive glucose -

actually DOES dehydrate you for the reasons I said before - boy, did I feel

silly. As for hydration, pretty much any liquid that isn't also a diuretic

should be fine.. But plain water doesn't have to go through any bodily

filtering, either! ;oD

As to sugar - as we know, it's just another carb - albeit a highly

concentrated one!
