I just finished putting strawberries in the freezer that I picked today. I've got enough strawberries to last till next spring. It takes testing to see how they affect you. hugs Eunice

I think it's because the fiber. A cup of strawberries has 12 grams of carbs and 3 grams of fiber. That's a little lower in carbs and a little higher in fiber than apples. It's a lot higher fiber wise than watermelon is. Mike

Guest guest
fruit scares me still. I tried some grapes and some canteloupe about 3 months ago and my BS# flew up. Have to figure out what fruits I can eat, but not at that point yet.... :-( JUDITH What about fresh fruit???? Guest guest
Hi, When you freeze them, put them individually on cookie sheets and once they are frozen, bag them, this helps a little. A small apple (or half a big one) is okay for me, if I eat it with some protein. Berries work great for some reason, it's almost like they're not even fruit. :-) Grapes are like little sugar bombs. I really can't tolerate grapes. Ditto for pears and mangoes. I can eat a kiwi on occasion with not too much trouble, and for some reason I seem to be able to handle pineapple okay although I have heard that other people have a lot of trouble with it. I do strictly limit my fruit intake, though. They tend to be pretty sugary compared to the rest of my diet these days. (Says she who used to consume a six-pack of regular Coke per day... but then that's probably how I wound up here. :-) ) Molly
