Guest guest
Mike, At times like this ones word do nothing so all I'll say is I am truly sorry for the loss of your fellow Medic and obvious friend. Whatever differences we may have over time and any petty disagreements that occur between men and women in the course of life are nothing when compared to such losses. Again sympathies to all who knew and loved . Guest guest
So many times on this list and others, we formulate our opinions of one and other, simply by words that we see typed on a screen without regard to the thoughts and passions behind the person typing them. Too many times here, we associate disagreement with apathy, opposing opinions with lack of knowledge and lack of response to submission. It's a shame that one of us has to leave this group permanently for us to realize that as Lou said, the differences are generally petty. I include myself in that group as well so there are lessons to be learned. Having just lost an old and dear friend from the Live Oak County area, I know the emptiness that is unexplainable and the loss of words. Just the rantings of an old pathetic medic who is pondering his own existence. Guest guest
I cannot come up with words to describe my shock. I've known for nearly 10 years, and worked at several agencies with him. Although we didn't always see eye-to-eye on everything, we were always friends. If either of us had needed help, the other would have been there. He was a talented Paramedic, and excellent educator. I haven't seen in quite some time, but we emailed back and forth quite often, and chatted on the phone as often as we could. I was supposed to call him the next time I went to San , so we could " do lunch " . He said it was my turn this time, but I wasn't too sure. My prayers go out to , and all of ' family, friends and colleagues. Goodbye my friend. Although I an deeply saddened by your passing, I am comforted by the knowledge that you are at peace, and that one day we will meet again.
