Guest guest
Hi, i have both gelcaps & the oil... i used a measuring spoon... 2 gel caps is exactly = 1/2 teaspooon oil. I first used a spoon that i usualy give him his oil in but used gelcaps ... just to see how much 2 gelcaps comes to... so i know... I now use that SAME spoon each day so i know exactlyy how much he's getting each day. The bottle is way better $ than the gelcaps, especally since we have to open the gel caps anyway... so easier to. More over the 90 gel caps at 2 caps a day is only 45 servings while the oil is MORETHAN DOUBLE that... since they calculate at 1 tspn servings which is 4 gel caps not 2... & that bottle gives 48 teaspoons... which is 96 servings ( 48+ 48 1/2 tspns) I spoke to Nordic naturals.. the complete omega 3,6,9 is EXACTLY the same as the PRO EFA... the pro line was mainly for Doctors to sell & the Complete omega was for retail sale. Xena ....Around just 1/4 a teaspoon of ProEFA oil will be around the same as 'one' capsule of ProEFA since " 1/2 teaspoon of ProEFA oil is close to the equivalent of about 2 capsules of ProEFA " Sadly -it still does appear that unless NN offers a dropper that clearly has lines that state " one capsule " " two capsules " or something like that as a guide as I suggested -that with use of the oils -those of you using the straight oil will no longer be able to share with all of us accurately -or even know yourself - what dosage you are giving your child you are finding to be " too high " " too low " or " perfect! " You will only be able to estimate. The best we can advise now with the oil is that " 1/2 teaspoon of ProEFA oil is close to the equivalent of about 2 capsules of ProEFA " __________________________________________ DSL – Something to write home about.
