Guest guest
I hadn't seen that yet Kat... Yahoo Messengers chat... not sure how many folks can use that at a time.... I don't have time to go online to check right now... That's gonna make it tougher.... Any suggestions for options? I think the new web host has a chat feature... I'll look into how that works, if there is one, in the morning.. don't let me forget... Guest guest
Yeah.. I've used it that way too... but unless you know who's there to be invited.. or who's looking to join a discussion.. it's like being invisible.... Guest guest
I checked out the chat room the webhost offers... I don't like it much... you have to enter your message at the top of the page and then scroll down to catch up.... and there is no 'running' list of who is in the room, you have to click a button to see who's there and then have to scroll down to catch up..... I check out the Yahoo IM conference option... it still works the same as before... whoever opens the room has to send an invite to the ones that they want to let in.... For that to work everyone would have to be emailing back and forth whenever someone wants to start a chat... but it does have a running list of who's in the room and not so much scrolling to read messages. Anyone have suggestions for other chat hosting/sources? Topper ()
Guest guest
Unless we all share our IM names and use the stealth mode so that the only ones that know we are on is the ones in the group that want to chat see Topper you are the only one on my stealth mode other wise no one else know when I am one or not . that way if they want to have an invite they can im someone on the group list that is on and get an invite that might work Tinatopper2@... wrote: I checked out the chat room the webhost offers... I agree it works great, with the exception that if you click on it now you will get the message that yahoo Chat is no longer available to groups..this is why the chat group conversation.. I know msn allows a chat..and it would be a room that could be kept private..has been a while since I was on a msn chat though so I will have to look into it.. Guest guest
Wow I did not know that. Shows that I have not been on it for a while. When did that happen? Has anyone used Yahoo messenger? nne > > > > The chat link on our Thyroid Support group works fine. Guest guest
I just discovered that I can create a chat room on my web server. If you let me do a little testing on it - I would be happy to have the group chat there. You register - have a username and password etc. That's all I know yet though. Anyone interested if I can get it running? -Lynn

That's how I use my messenger most of the time. I run as invisible to almost everyone, but have a select group of friends who can see when I'm online. Keeps down the riff raff that way. ) I am usually online late at night (1:00 am to 3:00 am) as kitzcat on Yahoo Messenger or KitzCat146 on aol so please feel free to IM or email me anytime and if I'm there, I'll answer. Just let me know you're from the thyroid group.Kathy >^,,^<KitzCat146@...http://www.chaytongroup.com/modernbill/order/index.php?aid=ka081104http://www.heartwarmers4u.com/members/?kitzcatkitzcat2001 on Yahoo Messengerkitzcat on MSN MessengerIn a cat's eyes, all things belong to cats. - English Proverb Love cheap thrills?
