Guest guest
WAY TO GO ROSE. I am so proud of you! You are your own best advocate, always remember that. I have a feeling this new doc is going to be great, and you are on your way to wellness. Well, since this morning, still feeling crappy,a few things have happened. The pharmacy called and informed me that they couldn't refill my prescription because the doctors office said I had to make an appointment. So I called the doctors office and informed them that I had tried to see him for six months, but, the day before my appt. they called and "rescheduled" and THEN the day before my next appt. they would do the same thing on and on for six months. She said "well,I can't do anything about that,go to a walk-in clinic and maybe the doctor there can refill it"My reply? "you mean to tell me that I have to go to a walk-in clinic because I can't get in to see my own doctor that I've had for 20 years?" "yes",she says "well can I please leave a message for him?" "NO,he's not here and wont be back till next week"So I start to get frustrated and ask how I can get my records transfered to another doctor. She informed me I would have to sign a release and it would "cost me"After hanging up on her and having a good cry I went to the clinic and saw a really nice doc.I told him what was going on (diagnosed 14 mos ago and havent seen a doc for a year, prescription doubled last time by cardiologist)I told him my script wasnt high enough,I've felt like crap for a year etc etc and he sent me for blood tests.Told me to call on friday at three for results.Maybe now I'll get some answers.THANX for the courage to "fire" my idiot doctor you wonderful people. Guest guest
GOOD Job, rose! If you have insurance, you can report that shoddy care to your health insurance provider... I have done that more than once and gotten pretty good results. I had one doc once trying to FORCE their “new and improved” antibiotics On me and I said NO thanks, They tried THREE times while I stood there bent over dying, I finally got what I wanted - -an RX for the antibiotic I tolerate well. The time before that they REFUSED to give me that antibiotic and I called my health insurance Company and they called my doctor and I was called to come in and pick up my Rx! “NO” to me is just a delayed yes... I realize there are some brick walls, but I am good at head banging!
