Guest guest
, I have a growth chart somewhere but cant find it now. And I am getting mad at myself for not remembering where it is! Alli I know about size is that is 5.9 yrs old and weighs a whopping 31 lbs soaking wet w/ clothes on. She is below the 5th%ile. 48 lbs sounds good to me. gets strep throat all the time. Actually, if she had gotten it again in GA, they were going to take her tonsils out. My 2 yr old had her tonsils and adenoids taken out already. has also had 2 sinus surgeries and has had 2 sets of tubes placed in her ears so far. And she is not our ?CF? child! Hope she feels better soon!
Guest guest
I am sorry that she has strep. that is a big bummer, especially if the other kids, and you, catch it too! How are you feeling, by the way? 48 lbs for 7 1/2 is probably small, by what the CF docs would say, but alot depends on how picky your doc is,a nd also how big you all as a family are. Our almost 7 yo (, will be 7 on July 9) is only 36 lbs, if that makes you feel any better, and he does not have CF, and he is a boy, and boys are supposed to be bigger. My 9 yo daughter without CF, Miranda, weighs 42 lbs soaking wet, she will be 10 Nov 1st. Now, my 8 you adopted daughter Mollie weighs almost 50 lbs, but then she has different genetics, too. She would no doubt be bigger, if she had not lost almost 20 lbs by the time she was diagnosed with Juvenile diabetes. She has gained back 15 of that, though, and is now looking almost chunky. She is also taller than Miranda. so, I guess if you want that can make you feel better, than my perfectly healthy 9 yo daughter, no CF, weighs less than your 7 yo with CF... Take care, and so nice to see you again!!!!!!! Jen Mommy of 7, including ph 23 months with CF, Mallory 3 with CF, RAD, GERD, OSA, port-a-cath; 5 with CF, port-a-cath; 6, Miranda 9, Mollie 8 with Type 1 diabetes (juvenile diabetes) ; Madison 5 yo ; also aunt to 4 yo with CF

Guest guest
Thanks Jody...na eats very well, when not sick, and will eat just about anything..except meatloaf which the rest of the family loves! The docs always say that we need her to gain even more weight and I am never sure how she is doing as far as weight goes. -mom of 4, one with CF, and baby due in July poss. Guest guest
Thanks ...na is very bad with sinus infections...gets them all the time and I guess she is fighting one of those too, along with the strep. This is her first case of strep that we know of, and she is a first born whinner:(...complains all the time about how bad her throat hurts. Love her nonetheless tho:)) -mom of 4, one with CF, and baby due in July poss. CF

Guest guest
Jen, I am feeling pretty good, but getting anxious to have the baby:) Everyday I wonder if this is the day! Hubby is a pretty big man...6'1 " and about 230 lbs, but I am very tiny...when not preg....5'1 " and 100 lbs. So she might just take after me. Her sister Miranda who is one year younger than her is the same size as her...and yesterday na got all upset cause our babysitter/friend told her that 48 is small. I felt bad for her t explained that there is nothing wrong with being small...I am small too. I hope she doesn't continue to be upset about it. Hope all is well with you and the family, -mom of 4, one with CF.. strep/sinus infect. and baby due in July with poss CF
