Dear Trisha,

So glad you had such a wonderful time...God knows you both deserved it,

especially you. I've thought about you over the past month, hoping you were

having a well-deserved vacation.

I'm on vacation this week for 4 days (we discussed it when I started back in

May). Off to Montauk for a couple of days in this heatwave to the ocean and

the sand. I'm Office Manager now; not sure what to make of it after (3)

months of being there, but the girl who has been there (3) years doesn't have a

personality at all. She's actually rude and a bit of a " b. " So they made

her " legal administrator, " whatever the heck that is, gave her a raise, and she

seems happy (even though I don't think anything makes that girl happy) I

swore I'd never get caught up in all this working thing again, and look where

that got me!!!

Hugs and kisses and so glad you're home safe and sound. You'll have to send

a picture of your new " do. "

XOXOX

Home BUT I don't wanna be.

Hi All,

Our 25 day adventure to New Hampshire and Maine was absolutely awesome. We

left on July 7th and made our way slowly north from Nashville, stopping

along the way to be tourists and spend the nights in our RV whenever Bill

got tired.

We started out in Conway N.H, and spent a week there tooling around the town

and visiting the White Mountain range. Mt. Washington is there and the whole

mountain range and the adjoining towns were exciting to see. One of the

days we were in Conway we drove over to my favorite place...Kennebunkport,

Maine to spend a day. This was my 5th time to visit Kennebunkport and each

time I find it more desirable than before. Dock Square is a town square

filled with unique shops and is a small walk to Kennebunkport Harbour.

There we munched on lobster rolls, clam chowder, and fried clams. Yummy.

It was of course unbearably hot during the day but rather nice at night.

All the residents remarket that it was the hottest July EVER!! Well of

course it was!! Six couples of our fellow RV friends in Nashville joined us

there on the 3rd day and we had fun camping with them and visiting. We then

caravanned to Fryeburg, Maine for an RV rally. It turned out to be so hot

the week of the rally that we spent a lot of our days in our RV's to cool

off. The buildings at the rally had no air conditioning and it was in the

high 90's most of the days. At night it cooled off and the 7 of us ladies

got to have our traditional cards and domino games while the men sat around

and visited.

We parted company with our friends following the week long rally and Bill

and I heading on up to northern Maine.....the place that is heaven on earth

to me. We spent a few days at Bar Harbor shopping in the quaint little

shops on the square, walking about the harbors and dining on lobsters! We

also got in a days visit to Acadia National Forest. What a beautiful place

that was. Breathtaking views of the Atlantic from atop the mountains.

We then ventured down to Bath and then to Booth-Bay. In Bath we visited

the Maritime Museum. The museum is filled with boating and sailing

artifacts and is standing on a place that was once a boatyard where some of

the first wooden vessels were built. We spent one entire day at the museum

and could have stayed more. What an incredible place. Wooden boat building

is a dead art now, unfortunately.

After two days in Bath, and more lobster dinners, we travelled on to Booth

Bay. Booth Bay is more laid back than Bar Harbor and Bill likes it better

there. They are restoring the " Bounty " there and even though we weren't

allowed to board the vessel, we did get to see it. We also chartered a sail

on a 65 foot Schooner in Booth Bay and now Bill is hankering for a sea

sailing adventure. I might say that I am all for it. It is awesome to feel

the wind whistle through your hair and smooth out the wrinkles on your face.

. and see nothing but sea. Yes, I did feel a bit of wind in my hair. It

is now covering my head in a half inch salt and pepper downy fuzz. Any

color is soooooo welcome!! We saw lots of light houses and even happened

upon around 50 seals sunning themselves on a cliff on one of the islands. I

sure hated to leave my Maine and begged Bill to " let's just pull up here and

stay forever by the sea. " He is way too practical!!

Our last stop was Gettysburg, PA and what a place that is. We were awed by

it. So much history there. We toured the battlefield via an air

conditioned bus and 2 1/2 hours of sightseeing wasn't near enough. We drove

around a bit in our car and took a few pictures and then dined on crab

chowder and Reuben sandwiches. No lobster this time.

We arrived home last night and today Bill is paying bills and I am unloading

the RV and doing laundry. Back to reality!! Boo Hoo!

Our holiday was lovely and will be a lasting memory for us. We definitely

plan to go again some day. Next week we are off for a 5 day camp out near

Crossville TN. with our club. Not as nice scenery, but the friendship is so

inviting.

caravanned to Fryeburg, Maine for an RV rally.

It is awesome to feel

the wind whistle through your hair and smooth out the wrinkles on your face.

.. and see nothing but sea.

Not as nice scenery, but the friendship is so

inviting.

Hugs,

Trisha and Bill
