Guest guest
Lindsey, I have used Estrace cream, but not in a compound formulation and ended up in a situation where I ended up with what I thought was a yeast infection. So apparently I used way too much on the one dosage so whenever I try to use it again I will have to use a lot less than even that time and try to remember to use it at bed time as my dr initially told me to do. I'm sorry that you are having issues with this hun. Guest guest
Hi Lindsey - I have been trying estrogen cream for the last year and haven't found the right combination of cream and schedule for applying it. I also have had a problem that has occurred a couple of times. I apply pea sized amount once per day in the evening. After about five days, I start to get an irritating kind of itching/stinging feeling. I have estrodiol compunded in lipocream. I've just ordered a tube of the lipocream without the estrogen in it to see if it is the lipocream causing the irritation. I may have to switch to some other base. It also might be that anykind of cream is going to cause irritation because it is making that area moist. I think that it can be a long process of elimination to find the right approach to the cream. If I were you, I'd stop using it until you recovered from whatever symptom you have now, then start reapplying it less frequently. That way you can find out whether it might be the frequency of application that is bothersome. If you still have a problem, then it might be something in the estrace cream that is causing the problem. Just a few ideas based on my experience, although I haven't successfully figured this out yet either. Good luck and please keep us posted if you figure out the answer. That was a very smart move; I only hope others here will understand the "experimental" technique that you are using and apply them to their own situations. We are dealing with very individual reactions (usually) and you can't assume that your own body will react to the same things that someone else does!
