Guest guest
I've had some problems with this - not major. My exercise teacher had shown me how to do Kegels but I just couldn't get motivated to do them. My GYN sent me to a Urologist. He does a biofeedback thing that teaches you how to do kegels. In my opinion it is fabulous. I learned how to do them and am motivated to do them and the results are good. With the biofeedback, as you are doing the kegels you can see how you are doing on the computer and when you are done they can give you a printout. I went 2/wk for 5 wks. I could compare my printouts each week. Now I do my kegels everywhere: on the bus and subway I find are really good places or while standing waiting for a bus! You're sposed to keep on doing them to continue to strengthen your muscles. Hope I've inspired someone to look into this. I think its great! (I think the primary reason for my needing this was just the aging process - nothing to do with NF2). Barbara B.

Guest guest
They taught us kegels at our child birth classes. About a dozen of us big, pregnant women sitting on the floors in a circle with our husbands behind us. They told about it building muscles to help labor, birth and that we should continue doing them forever to keep bladder control. My bladder problems seem to be when I sneeze and laugh hard. Very little problems compared to what else has been going on.
