Hi my name is ' and I'm from Texas. I read all the post and

just decided to post now. I really enjoy this site! I had gastric

bypass on April 18, 2002 and have lost a total of 155 lbs! I hope to

lose about 50 to 60 more. We recently found out we were 4 weeks(on

Friday the 13th of all days 9/13/02) pregnant, but two weeks later

we lost the baby. That was very devistating for us. The doctor said

that the surgery had nothing to do with the miscarriage and that it

would be safe for us to try again. I am very fortunate to have a

very supportive husband. He has stood by me through all of this. He

married me at my top weight of 460lbs. He said the weight didn't

matter to him he loved me for me and my heart. I have had a lot of

people ask me if my husband married me before I had this surgery and

when I tell them yes they just look at me and say that he must have

really loved you to marry you at that size. Has any one else had

that said to them before? Calvin says to just let it roll off of my

back and that some people are just that way. But it hurts my

feelings and makes me mad. I still struggle with the battle of

emotional eating. After we lost the baby it was realy hard not to

just go and binge a whole lot. Calvin was there for me for that.

This surgery has helped that and it's not as bad as it us to be. I

think this was the best thing I have ever done, except for marring

Calvin! We celebrate our one year anniversary on December 29th. It

doesn't seem like it has been a year. I'm sorry this is so long. I

just get to going and rambling and don't know when to stop. That is

what being a housewife will do to ya! Take care and hope to hear

from ya'll soon! Congrats to everyone who has had the surgery and

all the weight loss and good luck and prayers to the one that are

considering and to the ones that are waiting on surgery!

Hugs,

'

Hi - So nice to have you with us. You sound like a special lady. I'm so

sorry about your miscarriage. Those people who say comments about Calvin

marrying you when you were heavy are ignorant. To them, appearance is

everything. They aren't ever gonna get it, even if someone beats them over the

head with it. Anyway, I'm glad you've joined us. Congrats on all that you've

lost so far. You are doing a fabulous job! Take care.

Depending upon location of your fibroids, UAE is also a consideration.

I am new to this group. I am 40 years old and I have several

fibroids. The largests one is the size of a 14 week pregnancy. My

symptoms have changed recently within the last year. The excessive

bleeding lasts one day and my periods are shorter. I still feel the

fatigue and the lower back pain. I am taking ferro-sequels, but I am

currently not anemic. My gynocologist has suggested a myomectomy but

since my symptoms are manageable, I am very undecided. What do you

folks think?

There is no definitive evidence on this. Check on this site...scroll down to

the bone loss studies. http://www.altsupportthyroid.org/tsh/tshmedrefs5.php

Foks on Armour are going to have high levels. My endo wanted me to have bone

scans too. I quit going to her...however they are just trying to protect

themselves (not us, themselves).

I know how you're feeling. I've had 7 zaps since June of 2003. The

latest was just two weeks ago while on vacation in Vegas (spent 2 of

our 4 days in the ER and just had a marvelous time) I don't get

scared anymore just disgusted and very angry.

Does your doctor have you on some type of anti arrhythmic drug? It

would seem you'd be a candidate. Are you seeing an

Electrophysiologist? You should be.

Cardioversions usually don't last. What med are you taking to try

and stay in normal sinus rhythm?

I don't know why this would be the case if the ablation works. I

thought they kept people on coumadin for some number of months after

the ablation to be sure the afib was gone, then phased it out.
