Hi Sandi, sorry to read that you feel pain constantly :-(. To answer

your question, my pain feels similar to someone sticking a needle or

rubbing salt on an open wound (only upon touch). I can deal with the

physical pain, as I

can avoid touching the area altogether which I should be thankfull

for. However, I do feel intensely depressed and have noticed a drastic

shift in my day to day activities since I found out I had this

problem; especially when I'm around my husband who I've been married

to for 5 years and have been dating for 3 years prior to getting

married (I've yet to consumate my marriage :(... I find that doctors

are extremely ignorant and impatient around my concerns. Often I leave

their office with tears in my eyes. One would think that with so much

knowledge and technology these doctors could find a cure by now. Sorry

I'm just bitter at the whole medical system since I turned to these

doctors for help and they have made my situation worse (bad

surgergical experience).

I've been reading through people's posts here and I am finding

strength through each and every post, not to mention great advice!

Things that I will be doing soon are:

1) shop for white, all cotton underwear

2) rinse with water rather than just wiping

3) sidz (spelling?) baths nightly

4) make sure the area is relaxed (i've noticed that I'm tense in that

area at all times)

5) wax rather than shave the area (to avoid irritation)

Thanks to all your posts since they are helping me come out and

face/be proactive about my condition as opposed to just running away

from it and ignoring the fact that I have it.

PS. Does anyone in the Toronto area know any good PT practioners? (I

only found out about it recently (thanks Sandi for the suggestion!)

love,

Whitelotus (Toronto)

sex I would be ecstatic.

Hi, If you notice that you are tensed down there then I think PT may very well help you. Please go to www.pelvicpainrehab.com and email stephanie and liz and ask them if they know of anyone in Toronto. If you husband is a star then maybe you could go somewhere to have PT and they can train him. My husband was my best therapist and it brought us closer together. He knows that he has to do PT on me if he wants to get laid, and it has worked out well. love, Molly I will also see what I can find for you in Toronto. Are you anywhere near Rochester, NY? by any chance? There is a PT in upstate NY who sees a lot of patients from Canada. Don't let it be daunting. If you can go to a GOOD one with your husband then you can be self sufficient except for checking in on your progress.whitelotus_111

Who's in Toronto?

I'm also from Toronto - and I'm seeing a PT in

Oakville who's a pelvic pain specialist :)

So far they've really been helping me (I have

vestibulitis).

Whomever is in Toronto, I'm here if you want to talk

and compare notes :)
