I had to take it before with the Taxol, for three months and now I am just taking it every three weeks for the next 8 mos. The only side effects I really have are sleepiness from the benadryl- that's it! I am in Macon and I have a wonderful oncologist , and cancer care center. We benefit a lot from ours being closely affiliated with Emory University. I feel that I have gotten great care and we have a breast center at our hospital as well. It is state of the art- the breast surgeon is extremely professional too - I just feel very blessed and feel I have gotten great care. Now I do not always like what they tell me- of course! I do hope though you are going to have lots of help when you start Chemo! You are going to need it. I don't see how you young mothers do it when taking chemo. I complain and shouldn't... Guest guest Posted September 14, 2006 Report Share Posted September 14, 2006 Hi,Signia, happy birthday to your little one ,two is such a cute age ...really miss those days ..with my kids ..your first cemo is Friday...I had my second treatment monday,havn't been sick ...but everthing tastes and smells like metal...and I think I have done nothing but sleep 3 days ..my girlfriend went with me to my cemo treatment...she went down to the little cafe the have at the clinic..and brought me a huge piece of turdle cheese cake...the nurse just started laughing ...good thing I ate that cheese cake ..before it all tasted like metal....how many treatments do you have ahead of you?
