It would be impossible for us to say if it decreases her survival rates. Do you know what Stage she is, how aggressive the cancer was, ER/PR negative or positive. All of these factors going into the treatment and survival rates. I will keep her in my prayers.

Hi,My concern is my sister just finished chemo about 6 months ago but did not follow through w/ her radiation session.Does the survival rate decrease? If radiation were recommended, and she is not doing it, I would think it

would increase her chance of recurrence. Your sister should talk with

her oncologist who can explain why she needs the radiation and what

impact it will have not to do it.

Why doesn't she want to go? Is she feeling tired and overwhelmed? Does

she have someone she can talk to at the hospital or support group? Maybe

she could email this group and we could tell her our experiences and

give us support.

My sister is not the social type. She is so stubborn, with

the " whatever happens, happens " atttitude. My concern is now w/ her

chest and back pains, she could be catching bone cancer like my mom

had.
